Got hydration?

When thirsty, some of us reach for a long tall glass of water.  That goes without saying.  Or does it?

Surprisingly, water might not be the very best thirst quencher.  It might temporarily relieve a parched feeling, but would other liquids more thoroughly hydrate the body?

Turns out that milk might.  Plain water flows through the body so quickly that it often bypasses vital parts.  When coupled with nutritious calories, as in milk, water tends to linger internally where it’s most needed.

Electrolytes, such as “sodium and potassium,” are also important for H2O absorption.  That is why Pedialyte outranks water on the hydration scale.
