They who are without sin...

Remove these first...  (Photo by Greenpeace Finland)
Turns out that the man who recently purchased almost $600 worth of Girl Scout cookies is no Boy Scout.

In fact, he is now being charged with all sorts of crimes, ranging from heroin distribution to defrauding the United States government.  It just goes to show how very complex human nature can be.

Those who are tempted to discount his good deeds might want to remember this one rule of thumb:  Before attacking the splinter in someone else’s eye, be sure to remove the log in your own.

And the rat came back

In the natural world, additional winter weight can mean survival.  If you’re a sewer rat, this still applies.

Nevertheless, there could be a downside.  When a “fat rat” recently tried to exit a manhole cover’s bolthole, it got stuck at the hips.  To humanity’s credit, a rescue team was sent to help the struggling rodent.

Why rescue an animal that is often exterminated?  For that very reason!  Compassion can be extended to all of God’s creatures.

In out of the cold

How sweet it is!   (Photo by Photoguy439)
What do you do when you see a group of Girl Scouts standing in the freezing cold, trying to sell cookies?

If you’re a Good Samaritan, and you have the wherewithal, you buy them out.  That is exactly what a gentleman recently did in Greenville, South Carolina.

He purchased almost $600 worth of cookies, intending to distribute them within his business sites.  The “cookie
manager,” Kayla Dillard, had nothing but praise for his kindness, saying:  What an amazing soul!
