Paul the Apostle (by Rembrandt) |
Hospitality
can be as ancient as that shown
by Gaius of Corinth when he
hosts not only Paul, but also the
whole church (Romans 16:23). It can also be as modern as that
shown by a stranger at the Las Vegas airport.
A man,
identified only as Joseph, “reached out”
to a toddler who had approached
him there. With the blessings of
her dad, Joseph then proceeded to
wholesomely entertain her for the
next 45 minutes. She, in turn, shared
a snack with him.
Dad Kevin
Armentrout was so inspired by
this that he described their
exchange on Facebook. He wrote: Watching
them in that moment, I couldn’t help but think, different genders, different races, different generations and the best of friends. This is the world I want for her.
