Cheer a Peer

Bullying remains a challenge that all too many high schoolers face.  Its ugly manifestations include the following: teasing, ostracism and physical abuse. Cyber-bullying is also a huge problem.

When freshman Michael Todd was being bullied “for wearing the same thing day after day,” two classmates sprang into action.  Antwann Garrett and Kristopher Graham then gifted Todd with “new shoes and clothes.”

Cheering on a fellow student can go a long way toward relieving the harmful effects of bullying.
