When
shopping in Melbourne, Australia, you will
soon be able to leave rather quickly. In 2020,
Uber will conduct test runs of air taxis from
any of seven city centers to the main airport.
These
taxis are “part helicopter, part drone and
part fixed-wing aircraft,” and can fly both
vertically and horizontally. They will be
summoned via phone apps, in the same way
that Uber’s land fleet is.
