Red means Dead?

Does eating red meat on a regular basis increase your risk of death?

Recent research indicates that it can, particularly with processed meats. Replacing hot dogs and bacon with vegetarian proteins could therefore lengthen your time on earth significantly.

Relevant data comes from the Nurses Health Study, as well as the Health Professionals Follow-up Study.  These researchers tracked “the eating habits and mortality risk of thousands of men and women in the United States for a 14-year period.
