Leap of Faith

(United States Air Force Photo)
It takes a certain amount of moxie to freefall from an airplane, plus a whole lot of faith.

At 73, Shirley Romig seems to have plenty of both.  For her birthday, she chose to skydive together with granddaughter Cassidy Tyre.  Although this was Tyre’s first such leap, it was Romig’s fifth.

This time around, Romig was “on a mission.”  Determined to match struggling veterans with well-trained therapy dogs, she is garnering attention for this cause.  Romig “hopes to raise $12,000 online” in order to help save the lives of those who help save ours.
