The mouse takes the spermidine

Ever wonder why mice take the cheese?  Scientists now know: it’s the spermidine, silly.

A natural compound within most   cheeses, spermidine protects “against cardiovascular disease.”  It is particularly present within “matured, blue cheeses.”

So if you’re feeling blue, go for blue.  You might just feel chipper again!

But don’t go overboard.  Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.  Along with spermidine and key minerals, cheese also contains generous amounts of fat.

Moderation: the secret to success.
