Did Pfizer fizzle?

Pfizer Founder  (Public Domain)
When asked why a potentially promising Alzheimer’s drug did not receive a clinical trial, Pfizer’s spokespeople sputtered something about the drug not directly reaching brain tissue.

Nevertheless, the company’s own researchers had highly recommended that this trial be done.  They had found, as far back as 2015, that this “powerful anti-inflammatory drug” seemed to “reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease by 64%.”

Pfizer insists that science, and science alone, was the “sole determining factor” against conducting a costly trial.  Perhaps.

And then again, perhaps not.
