Titan on the Run

Titan in True Color   (NASA photo)
Let’s face it, even Titans get lonely at times.  So Saturn must have done something really wrong for this Titan to run in the opposite direction.

Sad but true: Saturn’s moon Titan is literally inching away from the ringed planet.  Billions of years ago, these two seemed quite close.  But nowadays, Titan is hiding out at a distance of 759,000 miles.  Now that’s what we call needing some space!

A reunion does not seem likely.  The further Saturn’s system expands, the farther Titan travels.  Yet where there’s life, there’s hope – and there might very well be some life on Titan.
