When
you’ve been the very first woman
to walk out in space, where do
you go from there? To the bottom of
the ocean, of course!
Kathryn
Sullivan, now 68, didn't just descend
to any old trench. This intrepid explorer
chose the appropriately-named Challenger
Deep, which brought her “nearly
seven miles below the Pacific’s Mariana
Trench.”
Such success
called for a call to colleagues aboard
the International Space Station, in order to
celebrate highs and lows.
