This recently happened to a fellow named Patrick Martin and his friend Mo. So what did they do?
Did they rush right up and request an autograph?
A selfie? No, they instead offered condolences for the loss of O’Neal’s sister and Kobe.
Shaq was touched. So
touched that, as Martin and Mo walked away, he “came back up to them and said: ‘I like y’all.’” Shaq then told them to purchase the very best laptop they could find “on his dime.”
When grief is touched by compassion, a beautiful alchemy can result. Love is everywhere, and a routine shopping trip can turn on a dime in its direction.
