Georgia State University was holding up Young’s registration until she paid off a $700 debt. Even
while working two jobs, Young could not afford to do so. Every time
she came close, her kids’ needs came first.
She then
said, “OK, I’ll just wait.”
Good things can come to those who honorably wait. When
Esch heard Young’s story, he secretly paid off her balance. Young
first found out when Georgia State called and said that she could now register.
Young has since graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Guess who came to her graduation?
Esch afterwards told CNN affiliate WSB “that he’s blessed to have had the opportunity to help her.”
