The Good New Yorkers

Parable of the Good Samaritan  (Balthasar van Cortbemde)
New Yorkers are often maligned, just as Samaritans of old were.  But it was in New York City that more than 10 “Good Samaritans” saved the day.

When a 25-year-old woman simply crossed the street, she was hit by an SUV that rolled onto her.  Her legs were then “pinned under the tires.”

Onlookers didn’t just stand there and gape.  A group of them rushed to the scene, collectively lifting the SUV off of her.  Although the woman suffered a concussion plus “heavy bruising,” no bones were broken.  She had been saved in time by these Good Samaritans of New York City.
