PFAS Soup

Turn on the tap, and you might be drinking PFAS soup rather than pure water.  And PFAS soup is mmm, mmm… BAD.

PFAS stands for perfluoroalkyl substances, chemicals that “were used in products like Teflon and Scotchguard and in firefighting foam.”  Higher than healthful levels have been found in the drinking water of almost 30 states thus far.

These chemicals have been linked to human “cancers, liver damage, low birth weight and other problems.”  Yet the White House and EPA haven’t set high priorities for limiting our exposure to them.
