This is unfortunately not just a theoretical example. It actually happened
to an Ojibwe attorney who was making her way through security at the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.
After impressing upon the agent that she is a woman and not a horse, this attorney received a half-hearted apology.
When the TSA got wind of the incident, they also apologized. But talk is cheap and prejudice runs deep.
