Dame Time

(by Lpdrew, 2013)
As speeches were made and the crowd shouted “Kobe,” one player quietly went about the business at hand.  He was neither Kobe nor LeBron, but simply Damian.  And that has long been more than enough.

Lillard honored Kobe’s great legacy and his own by methodically engineering the game with razor-like precision.  Whether shooting those incredible threes or bringing out the best in teammates, Lillard gets it done.  And he’s wise enough to also know that “this is just basketball.”

Lillard’s powerful left arm bears an important message: the tattooed           words from Psalm 37:1-3.  Dame is continuously reminded by David to “Trust in the Lord and do good…”
