Many a complaint was sent to the FCC regarding the halftime content. Scantily-clad costumes coupled with sexual gestures just didn't make it for family-friendly folks.
Complaints were forthright:
What are you teaching young girls?
...I was not prepared to explain to my 11 yo daughter why Jennifer Lopez... kept grabbing her crotch...
This takes us back to where women get their worth from their sexuality not their brains/personality...
