Weighty Results

If longevity is one of your goals, then weigh this carefully: increased muscle strength can mean increased life span.

When researchers from Indiana University analyzed “the link between strength, muscle mass, and mortality,” they found that those with low muscle strength had a significantly greater risk of death, especially death from cancer.

If you’ve been a couch potato, proceed with caution.  Injuries and worse could occur if aerobic “pace and volume” is increased “too suddenly.”
