When
Libratus beat “card sharks” one-on-one
a few years back, that was
bad enough. But its successor, Pluribus,
is now beating multiplayer groups. This has been called an AI “milestone.”
Let’s
just hope that it isn’t also a tombstone. Stephen Hawking used to
warn that the rise of robots could be
the downfall of humans.
