Hybrid Assistive Limb (Steve Jurvetson) |
These
steps were her pilgrimage: a
long hard journey to get back on her
feet. Sarol, now 18, took a gymnastics
fall some years ago and
“became paralyzed from the waist
down.”
True grit, plus support from “braces, a
walker and her siblings,” enabled Sarol
to meet this graduation goal. She
now looks forward to walking on
her own, with the future addition of
a “prosthetic exoskeleton.”
