American astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley will be taking off for the International Space Station this coming May. It will be the
first time since 2011 that NASA’s Space Shuttle program is somewhat back in gear.
At “up to $86 million per seat,” the United States has relied upon Russia to transport its ISS astronauts during these interim years. In order to develop viable alternatives, NASA has paid billions to SpaceX and Boeing.
People will have to view this May launch virtually, as crowds will not yet be allowed on Florida beaches.
