When Bishop Gerald Glenn recently died of COVID-19 complications, some were quick to quote him as having said “that God was larger than this dreaded virus.”
His death certainly does not negate that assertion. If
anything, he now may know this firsthand.
Nevertheless, we who are still here on earth must not insist that science is antithetical to religion.
Science is merely the study of God’s great creation. With scientific
knowledge, we humans may walk this earth more securely, without treading too heavily upon it or each other.
