North Pole going south

If climate change continues at an alarming rate, the North Pole as we’ve known it will soon vanish.

Instead, summers will bring an ice-free zone in which seals and polar bears will struggle to survive.  Because Arctic ice reflects sunlight, it has also served to moderate the global-warming trend which threatens humans.

Scientists have linked the loss of Arctic ice with the rise of atmospheric CO₂.  This can hopefully be mitigated, if we do our part and do it soon.
