North Pole going south

Comparative Arctic Ice Shrinkages    (NASA image)
If climate change continues at an alarming rate, the North Pole as we’ve known it will soon vanish.

Instead, summers will bring an ice-free zone in which seals and polar bears will struggle to survive.  Because Arctic ice reflects sunlight, it has also served to moderate the global-warming trend which threatens humans.

Scientists have linked the loss of Arctic ice with the rise of atmospheric CO2.  This can hopefully be mitigated, if we do our part and do it soon.
