Sociobiologist Elisabetta Palagi researched playful interactions
between dogs and horses.
These two species not only mimicked each other’s facial expressions, but also displayed vulnerable postures while near to one another.
Palagi theorizes that play serves to ease communication between species. It can “reduce
the chances of misunderstandings escalating into aggression.”
Perhaps humans should recreate in order to re-create a more peaceful world.
