Not Just a Health Crisis

In recognition that the worldwide pandemic is “not just a health crisis but also an economic one,” the Los Angeles Lakers is doing its part to help fund small businesses.

Although technically a small business itself (according to Paycheck Protection Program criteria), The Lakers returned a $4.6 million loan from the PPP.  These funds will now hopefully be dispersed “to those most in need.”

Individual Lakers have also responded quite generously. Some are directly helping to keep salaries flowing for Staples Center employees.
