Changing the Money Changers

Just as Jesus overthrew money-changing tables in the temple, Pope Francis is denouncing the habits of modern-day profiteers.

Yet the pontiff continues to pray that all shall “experience spiritual conversion,” for humans are greater than the sum of their deeds.  Pope Francis emphasized that we all “have a little Judas inside of us” who struggles with the urge to profit at the expense of others.

Therefore, let us pray for the mercy that exceeds stone-cold justice.
