A Kind of Hush

There is less seismic noise to rattle our planet these days. COVID-19 precautions have catapulted Earth into the kind of hush that eventually heals.

Geoscientists have detected a marked decrease in the noise levels of large cities.  This decrease in man-made vibrations will allow for the faster detection of small earthquakes and subtle volcanic activity.

And wouldn’t it be nice if researchers were to also emphasize the “lovers in love” part?
