Routinely intubating very ill COVID-19 patients may not be the best idea.  “Dialing up the pressure” on such ventilators may make matters even worse.

Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell of Brooklyn, New York is questioning commonly-held coronavirus theories and procedures.  He wonders whether this is a blood disease with respiratory repercussions rather than a respiratory disease with blood repercussions.

This board-certified ER doctor believes that certain ICU protocols might be causing more harm than good.  Lung cells and muscles can be subject to damage by high-pressure air flow.  Oxygen therapy might be far more effective, since coronavirus symptoms often resemble those of high-altitude sickness.
