Scientists have recently discovered the remains of “a diverse forest” within about 600 miles from the South Pole. Such
plants flourished there during the mid-Cretaceous Period, approximately 85 to 90 million years ago.
Imagine how warm the rest of Earth might have been!
Give
thanks for Antarctic ice, which has been tempering climates the world over. Then pray
that it lasts…
