Angels, God and kombucha

The Fizz That Is    (Photo by Mgarten)
Don’t know what kombucha is?  It’s a fizzy drink that helped to save Terry Harnish’s life.

Harnish, from Nova Scotia, was visiting friends at the Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa.  After taking the wrong turn onto a seasonal dirt road, she found herself “stuck in mud up to the wheel wells.”

Harnish tried walking her way out of there, but to no avail.  Returning to the car, she endured bouts of freezing temperatures before anyone found her.  Fortunately, she had some marzipan and kombucha to sustain her.

But the real nourishment came from faith.  Harnish stated that she “was a bit concerned,” but “knew her angels and God would save me.”  Sure enough, when things took a desperate
turn, some lads on a snowmobile came along.

Harnish now reports, “I’m doing well for a 72-year-old spinster.”
