Surprise!  Kevin Durant’s “impending free agency” has become an issue with his current team.  This same team, mind you, was gung ho on luring Durant away from his former team.

And the beat goes on.  Funny how selectively focused human nature can be.  Rather than predicting future patterns from past ones, people hang on to their own brands of wishful thinking. 

Folks like to believe that THIS time things WILL be different, even though a popular definition of insanity indicates otherwise.  Even a cursory study of history reveals a huge amount of repetition.  As Shakespeare wisely noted:  What’s past is prologue.
