When Todd Brown
discovered a wallet that was
“wedged between the seat and
the wall” during a Frontier
flight from Omaha to Denver, he
considered alerting the flight
attendant. Brown then decided that
he could do one better.
The wallet
contained an “ID, $60 cash, a
debit card and a signed paycheck.” It belonged to a 20-year-old named
Hunter Shamatt. Brown
thought back to what a tough age 20
could be and decided to be a
Great Samaritan.
Brown not only
mailed the wallet and contents
back to Shamatt, but added an
additional $40. He enclosed a note that
explained: I rounded your cash up to an even $100 so you could celebrate getting your wallet back.
Shamatt
celebrated a lot more than that. He celebrated a renewed faith in human
nature and in the world at large.
