Happy and ready to move forward

If you were abandoned at age four by your biological mother - in a Penn Station candy store, no less - what would you feel 40-plus years later upon meeting her?

Happiness?  Maybe not.

Nevertheless, that is what Mika Cheesman
reportedly felt.  After searching long and hard for decades, Cheesman finally found a first-cousin DNA match.  From there, she was able to meet her long-lost family.

Cheesman's biological mother has been suffering from “severe mental health issues,” which somewhat explains the Penn Station abandonment.  Mika, now a mother with four kids of her own, is more than ready to forgive.  She recently said that “she’s not angry with her birth family but just happy and ready to move forward and be in each other’s lives.”
