Home at Last

Long ago, Ram Dass (“born Richard Alpert) stated:  We’re all just walking each other home.  At age 88,     he’s now finally arrived.

Although Alpert and Timothy Leary once took LSD every four hours, there was no avoiding the reality of this material realm.
Alpert then began his “search for a more permanent enlightenment.”

After meeting the “Hindu mystic Neem Karoli Baba” (aka “Maharaj-ji”), Alpert turned away from psychedelics and toward meditation.  He was given a new name, “Ram Dass,” which means “Servant of God.”

Ram Dass authored the famous 1960s book, Be Here Now, which helped to spawn a new dawn of spirituality.  After suffering a serious stroke in 1997, he set a “compassionate and humble” example for “aging and dying without fear.”
