Dust Bunnies (Photo by Stromcarlson) |
So throw
open those daytime blinds and let the
sunshine in! You’d be surprised
what a difference this can make in air
quality.
Teeny weeny
microbes live on teensy weensy dust
particles. These critters (like so many
larger ones) prefer multiplying
within the privacy of darkness. Closed blinds therefore
foster up to
12 percent more of the little guys
than transparent windows do.
Not only
that, secretive microbes tend to be
more virulent than sunny ones. Operating within the cover of dimness,
they head straight for human lungs.
