Exceptional Delivery

When Steve’s Pizza of Battle Creek, Michigan heard the sad news, they were willing to deliver.

More than 20 years ago, Rich and Julie Morgan lived in Battle Creek and “grew fond of Steve’s Pizza.”  When they moved 225 miles away, this hankering only increased.

So for Julie’s recent birthday, the couple decided to make the long trip over.  But when cancer-patient Rich wound up in the hospital, this was not meant to be.

Or was it?  If patrons cannot get to their favorite restaurant, then their favorite restaurant can certainly get to them.  Dalton Shaffer, who works at Steve’s, literally went the distance.  He delivered a heaping order of joy, with pizza on the side.
