Why did the fawn cross the road?

A struggling fawn got halfway across a busy road, but then stopped to rest.

Not realizing the danger involved, this little tyke was snoozing for a bruising.  Fortunately, Mama Doe appeared in the nick of time.  She managed to nudge her baby back on its feet just before a van rushed through.

So we finally have an answer to that age-old question: Why did the chicken cross the road?  Probably because a hen really cared.
