Long-lost, now found

Some coincidences beat the odds to such an extent that it makes you wonder.

Such is the case with long-lost sisters, Hillary Harris and Dawn Johnson.  They not only share the same driveway, but also the same father.

It took quite some time for both to realize the latter.  Harris, adopted shortly after birth, had longed to know more about her biological family.

She eventually contacted an adoption agency to request this information. Since hers was an open adoption, the agency sent Harris a packet of pertinent documents.

Harris then learned that she had a sister named Dawn Johnson.  The next door neighbor’s name happened to be Dawn.  Harris never knew Dawn’s last name until a large package arrived in their driveway.  The name “Johnson” was clearly printed on top.

Could it possibly be?  What are the odds?  When dealing with mathematics, statistics matter.  When dealing with karma, they often don’t.  It turns out that Dawn is indeed Hillary’s long-lost sister, and they’ve been making up for lost time ever since.
