Eat your Wheaties, and you too could become an NBA champion. At least that’s what Madison Avenue would have you believe.
So the latest of the greatest to grace the Wheaties box is LeBron James. He and his I Promise cohorts will soon be joining you for breakfast.
If this campaign influences just one up-and-coming celebrity to use his or her fame for the public good, then it has been worthwhile. For James’ promises have been real, unlike many of those from the big-box companies.
