Waiting Is...

Waiting can be many things, some of them frustrating.  Yet if you’re Yo-Yo Ma, waiting can be an opportunity for sharing joy.

After receiving a COVID-19 shot, the famed cellist made good use of the 15-minute aftermath.  While being observed for any worrisome effects, Ma treated fellow vaxers to an impromptu rendition of Ave Maria.

This is far from the first time that Ma has graced the public with voluntary performances. Last summer,  he and “pianist Emanuel Ax” delighted essential workers with a number of surprise concerts.
