Holy cow! Sausage bites back

Mother and Child    (Public Domain)
Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh teaches that all entities are interconnected, to the point of “interbeing.”

Slaughtering a cow (or pig) and grinding it into bits could therefore spawn a continuum that ends with a bite into stolen sausage.  Is it therefore any wonder that the victim might eventually bite back?

In a sense, this is what happened when a nine-year-old case was reopened by German police.  The thief had tasted some sausage from a home he had robbed, which left a DNA trail.  A match recently surfaced when a suspect was “detained in France over an unrelated crime.”

Covering criminal tracks just ain’t what it used to be.  Do unto others, all others, seems the wisest rule to live by.
