Bridging the Gap

Jackson in 2014   (Photo by Keith Allison)
When insensitive remarks are made, some make insincere apologies and move on.

Not DeSean Jackson.  After posting anti-Semitic accusations on Instagram last week, Jackson received a great deal of criticism.  In a subsequent attempt to better understand Jewish perspectives, Jackson spoke with a Holocaust survivor, 94-year-old Edward Mosberg.

This conversation so moved Jackson that he pledged to visit Auschwitz.  Jackson admitted to never having “really spent time with anyone from the Jewish community,” then added that this newfound connection has been “such a powerful” learning experience.
