Making Peace in Ethiopia

The longest journey begins with first steps.  Although Ethiopia has a long way to go until democracy is fully achieved, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has taken many stalwart steps along that road.

He not only helped to end a 20-year border war between Ethiopia and Eritrea, but also helped to “broker a power-sharing deal in neighboring Sudan.”  For his mighty efforts,

Abiy has recently been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
