Protests are a powerful way to help stem this tide. That
is why a middle-aged neurologist from Berlin decided to do his part. When
asked why he recently marched against the growing anti-Semitism in his city, Dr. Friedhelm Schmitt replied: …because
I had to.
It’s my democratic duty.
In this day and age when people not only ignore sordid history, but also deny that it ever occurred, such protest is especially needed.
