However,
they seem to be spinning their wheels while stuck
in a rut. Automobiles have remained essentially
the same since the assembly line first came into
being. Technology has zipped right along, so it’s
well past time for cars to catch up.
Volkswagon (VLKAY)
is now jumping on this redesigned bandwagon. Taking cues from Daimler AG’s DriveNow
and BMW AG’s Car2Go, VLKAY is “unveiling
a car sharing service” and putting “2,000 all-electric
vehicles on the road by the second quarter of 2019.”
With this
new initiative, VLKAY hopes to sell more and more
battery-powered vehicles. Head of Sales Juergen
Stackmann explains: Our mission is to become zero-emission, as much as we can, and this service will help us to get there.
