Dying pets need you

Routine Spaying    (U.S. Navy photo)
This article emphasizes the need that a dying pet has for its owner’s presence.

All well and good, but the writer focuses solely upon euthanasia and doesn’t even mention other possibilities. Perhaps pets know more than we think they do.  Perhaps they can sense when an owner is choosing to end things with a lethal injection rather than with nature’s own timetable.

According to one unnamed veterinarian, “90% of owners don’t actually want to be in the room when he injects,” so pets often spend the last precious moments on earth “frantically looking around for their owners.”
