Thank a Migrant

California Migrants  (Dorothea Lange, 1935)
Enjoying that plate of greens in an upscale restaurant?  Chances are, the person who helped make that possible is living in a van.

Without migrant farm workers, blemish-free fruits and vegetables would be rare to non-existent.  Machines simply can’t duplicate the diligent dexterity of loving hands.

Although migrant life is traditionally harsh, many an immigrant has sacrificed personal comfort for family gain.  These modern-day pioneers take great pride in knowing that their backbreaking labor also feeds countless others.
