Have yourself a Wi-Fi Christmas: Or not

Empty Benches Await...    (Photo by Sjncousin)
Decking the halls with strands of blinkers might result in Wi-Fi outages.

That’s because old-fashioned holiday lights, especially those which blink, emit radio signals that are strong enough to block Wi-Fi ones.

If you wish to have a Wi-Fi Christmas, it might therefore be wise to utilize LED lights instead.  LEDs (light-emitting diodes) give off low-frequency radio signals that are not apt to interfere with Facebook greetings.

Nevertheless, there’s something to be said for face-to-face encounters, ones that may soon be as outmoded as old-time bulbs.
