‘Kosher’ hot dog? Not necessarily

These days, you can’t even trust that the kosher-labeled hot dog you’re biting into doesn’t contain pork.

Research results from the startup lab Clear Food recently indicated that “14.4 percent of hot dogs ‘were problematic in some way.’”

Fox News reports that so-called vegetarian hot dogs were found to contain meat, and so-called kosher hot dogs were found to contain pork.
Human DNA was also found in two percent of the overall samples.

Clear Food is discovering "allergens and hidden additives” that other labs miss, thanks to a new technology which examines foods at the molecular level.
